The data contained herein is based upon a survey done by Buford Reynolds in 1967, one done by Bill Godwin in 2004, and my research. There are a number of unmarked graves and stones in the cemetery whose names have long since disappeared. 

On February 2, 1849, John E. McNeese gave 1 acre of land to the New Lebanon Church .   The  New Lebanon Baptist Church had been officially formed the previous year.  Since then the cemetery has grown to over 2 acres.

The index list the surnames of anyone listed in the report, not just those who are buried here.
